During the past two years, the St Andrews Project has run four major planning workshops to finalise the master plan concept for the total Tokyu Corporation landholding. These have involved all key stakeholders, including State and Local Government agencies, community representatives and the Tokyu Yanchep Sun City planning team.

Following a major workshop in June 2004, at which Tokyu Corporation's principal planner Calthorpe and Associates were represented by Peter Calthorpe and Danno Glanz, the Concept Plan was finalised and submitted to the City of Wanneroo for its endorsement in October 2004.

Urban Designers for the Southern Precinct include internationally renowned designer Peter Calthorpe, who Tokyu has engaged to take a leading role in the formulation of this development. Peter Calthorpe's firm, Calthorpe and Associates have been involved in many successful developments in North America and Europe. Peter Calthorpe is a pioneer in the New Urbanism philosophies of urban design on which the Department for Planning and Infrastructure's Liveable Neighbourhoods Document is based.

The Concept Plan will be the basis for the development of a series of District and Local Structure Plans for the St Andrews area, to be developed with the City of Wanneroo and the State Government over the next two years.
