The Yanchep holding of Tokyu Corporation is over 5,500 hectares in
area. It is the largest privately owned parcel of designated future
urban land in the Perth metropolitan area and possibly within an
Australian Capital city.
Yanchep National Park and 14 kilometres of coastline offer unique
opportunities to plan for a future community with superb recreational
characteristics.
The area contains three separate settlements with a total of 5,000
residents providing the unusual advantage of an established community
with existing social and recreational infrastructure.

Currently, physical development of metropolitan coastal land ('the
urban front') is well underway at Brighton/Jindaloo, 10 kilometres
south of Tokyu's southern boundary. Alkimos/Eglinton is the last major
land holding between 'the urban front' and Yanchep. Landcorp is in the
process of finalising its development plans for this area.
Demand for large parcels of urban development land at Yanchep is still limited to investors wishing to establish land banks. However, commencement of the Alkimos/Eglinton project together with completion of Marmion Avenue to Yanchep is expected to ignite consumer level demand in Tokyu's property.
With the recent finalisation of a joint venture between Tokyu Corporation and the Capricorn Investment Group, stage one development of some 3000 residential lots, an aged care facility and a village retail centre will commence development in 2005.
Marmion Avenue construction is scheduled to commence in 2006.
